Credits
Credit costs, how to view your balance, and tips for managing usage
Deliverables AI uses a credit system to track AI usage. Different actions consume different amounts of credits.
Credit costs
Document processing
| Action | Credits |
|---|---|
| Process document | 35 credits |
| Process web page or image | 2 credits |
Content generation
| Action | Credits |
|---|---|
| Generate slides | 40-120 credits/slide |
| Generate answer/report | 20 credits |
What drives slide costs?
Slide generation costs vary based on three factors:
- Generation mode — Low mode uses fewer credits; Medium balances depth and cost; High uses the most credits for deeper reasoning and review
- Layout complexity — Data-heavy slides with charts, tables, or multiple visual elements can use more compute than simple text slides
- Research depth — Slides that require synthesizing information from many sources or performing additional web research consume more credits
- Image generation — AI-generated images add to the cost; slides using stock images or no images cost less
A 10-slide pitch deck typically uses about 500-1,500 credits before any extra source processing or unusually complex imagery. Management presentations, teasers, and CIMs scale from there based on slide count and complexity.
View your balance

- Select your profile icon in the upper right
- Select Credits
You'll see:
- Remaining credits for the current billing period
- Usage chart showing credit consumption over time
- Usage log with details of each action
Understand the usage log
The usage log shows:
- Date and time of each action
- Type of action (processing, generation)
- Credits consumed
- Project and deliverable associated
Credit reset
Credits reset at the beginning of each billing cycle. Unused credits don't roll over to the next month.
Track team usage
If you're on a team plan, you can see usage across all team members. This helps with:
- Understanding total consumption
- Planning credit allocation
- Identifying heavy usage periods
Usage log for governance and compliance
The usage log doubles as a lightweight audit trail. For teams with internal compliance requirements — common in PE, investment banking, and advisory — the log provides a clear record of:
- What was generated — Which deliverables were created, when, and for which project
- Who generated it — Team member attribution on team plans
- What it cost — Credit consumption per action, useful for internal cost allocation across deals or clients
This transparency is useful for firms that need to demonstrate oversight of AI-assisted work product, track usage against internal policies, or allocate platform costs across engagement codes.

Processing sources uses fewer credits than generating deliverables. Upload and organize your sources first, then generate only the deliverables you need.
