February was a big month for presentation quality and intelligence. Every deck now starts with automated deep research, logo grids populate themselves, and charts got a ground-up quality overhaul. Here's what's new.
Deep Research for Every Presentation
Every presentation now begins with an automated deep research phase. Before the AI plans your slides, a dedicated research agent searches your uploaded documents and the web in parallel, producing a structured research report that directly informs your content.
Here's how it works:
- Parallel research across multiple angles. The system investigates 3-6 subtopics simultaneously using both your project's knowledge base and web sources.
- Research findings assigned per slide. Each slide receives its own relevant facts, data points, and quotes, so the same finding doesn't repeat across slides.
- Works with or without uploaded documents. Even without a knowledge base, the research agent pulls in current, relevant information from the web.
The result: slides backed by real data and sourced findings rather than generic placeholders.
Automatic Logo Grids
Slides with logo grid placeholders now populate automatically with real company logos. This is especially useful for CIM-style layouts that showcase customers, partners, or portfolio companies.
- Real logos. The system fetches actual company logos and arranges them in a balanced grid on the slide.
- Dense grids. Small areas can fit 9-15+ logos with tight, professional spacing that matches hand-crafted layouts.
- Multiple grids per slide. A slide with both "Customers" and "Partners" grids populates both simultaneously.
- Robust logo discovery. When a logo isn't immediately available, the system tries multiple approaches to find the right one.
Chart Quality Overhaul
Charts received the most comprehensive set of improvements this month. If you've ever seen a pie chart labelled "3140%" or a combo chart where the line series disappeared, those days are over.
- Combo charts. Bar charts with overlaid line series for margins, growth rates, or percentages now work correctly with proper axis scaling and data labels.
- Accurate pie charts. Percentages always add up correctly. No more slices labelled "3140%."
- Flexible series count. Charts adapt to your data. A template designed for 3 series works cleanly with just 1 or 2.
- Better color palettes. Brand-derived chart colors now work together naturally, eliminating the red/green and purple/yellow clashes that could appear before.
- Auto-scaling axes. Chart axes now adjust to fit your actual data, so bars and lines always display at the right scale.
- Cleaner multi-series charts. Distinct colors per series in clustered bar charts, and single-series charts automatically hide the legend.
Co-Branded Presentations
Presentations can now feature two companies, for example an advisory firm and a target company. Both logos appear automatically on the right slides, and the primary company drives the color palette and font selection. Configure it once through your agent instructions and every deck gets it right.
New Dense Slide Layouts
We've added several new high-density layouts to the default template, designed for content-heavy slides that need to pack more information into a single view. These are particularly useful for financial summaries, competitive analyses, and detailed comparison slides.
Template & Font Improvements
- Your typography, respected. Custom templates with intentionally small font sizes for fine print and dense data tables are no longer overridden. Your template's design choices are preserved.
- More logo formats supported. Logos from modern brand platforms now work automatically, even formats that PowerPoint doesn't natively support.
Revision Improvements
- Longer revision feedback. You can now submit up to 10,000 characters of revision instructions (up from 5,000), giving you room for detailed, multi-point feedback in a single revision request.
Coming Soon
We're actively developing three capabilities that will ship in the coming weeks:
- ChatGPT integration. Generate Deliverables presentations directly inside ChatGPT, complete with a slide carousel and targeted slide-level revisions.
- AI-generated SmartArt diagrams. Org charts, process flows, and list diagrams in your templates will be populated with contextually relevant content using the native PowerPoint SmartArt engine.
- Custom template onboarding, dramatically faster. A new automated pipeline analyzes your branded template, validates it, and prepares it for generation, cutting template setup from days to hours.
These updates are live now. We'd love to hear how they're working for your team. Reach out to your customer success manager or email us at team@deliverables.ai.
